Muite’s new noble lie

August 17, 2006 at 10:39 pm 2 comments

In response to a question by Newsline‘s Louis Otieno a few minutes ago, Kikuyu MP Paul Muite said what the country needs to combat rising levels of crime and insecurity(in addition to other measures) is “a new sense of morality.”

That’s what I call a noble lie, for nothing could be further from the truth.

Paul, just give me that good old religion…that which goes beyond having a form of national and personal Godliness enough to acknowledge the power thereof…well enough to defy conformity to established ways of this world so as to result in the renewal of minds and a transformation of individual lives and society.
