Aco, you just found an ally!

Well Aco, some scribe who just returned from Somalia (her employer couldn’t guarantee her safety any longer) believes with you that the ICU is the best thing that ever happened to that country.

She says the TFG is only good for the kind of politics we have in Kenya, but not for the rough and tumble that Somalia is.

She feared kidogo for women and those who would want to shift from Islam to, say, Christianity or even ATR 🙂 , but generally suggested that Somalia needs a benevolent dictator.

Well, there you go with an ally.

Good to see I am not alone in my “madness”!But I do believe that Somalia needs a benevolent dictator because Democracy has been a resounding failure there.

    Benevolent dictator?
    Jumbo shrimp?
    Rainy desert?
    Gentle tornado?
Can any of these things be said to exist?
And if you want the dictator to be benevolent, by what standard does the ICU qualify?
I find it interesting that Somaliland has had reasonably free and fair elections, yet the Somalis of Somalia can’t handle democracy?

It is appalling the occurences in Somaliland. The latest being the butchering of the nun(who helped their own people) over some misinterpreted comments the Pope made worlds away.
They killers probably didnt understand any of the deep theological reasonig behind it except what their media (mis)reported.
Good job here, by the way.
Am a current Daystarian trying to start something of the sort.
    Keep it up.
