*I just love this song, in thinking about the full and free gift of Christ’s life in death this Passover.
In Christ alone my hope is found / He is my light, my strength, my song / This cornerstone, this solid ground / Firm through the fiercest drought and storm / What heights of love, what depths of peace / When fears are stilled, when strivings cease / My Comforter, my All in All / Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh / Fullness of God in helpless babe / This gift of love and righteousness / Scorned by the ones He came to save / ‘Till on that cross as Jesus died / The wrath of God was satisfied / For every sin on Him was laid / Here in the death of Christ I live.

This is also one of my favorites and we sang it my mother’s funeral because we felt the words were so fitting. Stuart Townsend is such a talented writer, he has the ability to compose lyrics reminiscent of old hymns yet attach it to modern music in a way that few other worship musicians can.

i don’t know you, and i haven’t read the rest of your site, but we sang this at the funeral of a 15 mos old boy today and it spoke so much to me. i also was just encouraged by your amy carmichael quote. i’ve never read it before. keep on going on.

so i had a question. i was looking up this song for a reason because its like a new type of music and im not sure what they call it. at my church they sing songs like this. im not sure what the name of it is. this may not make sense to anyonje but i thought id check. they have other songs like “for the cross” etc. i cant think of any more at the moment off the top of my head but if anyone knows email me at annaknight131@yahoo.com
