Harambee House “miracle”

A friend says that when Kofi Annan, RO and MK met last week at Harambee House, George Bush and Gordon Brown made a conference call to put a few points across.

The import of the call, the friend says, was to let RO and MK know that if they didn’t work out something,  both London and Washington would consider other options.

It is the severity of some of these options that reportedly worked wonders.

I’m made to understand none of the options is off the table yet.

If true, such a situation should indicate how thin the duo’s patience is running out with regard to the Kenyan situation.

In the meanwhile, Annan has just announced a news black-out on the mediation process, pending official communication from his end in the next few days.

The mediation team is expected to move into final private deliberations, away from the glare of the media and the gossiping public.
